We stopped to stay the night in Alexandria on our way to New Orleans and Orange Beach. Nice place and good food. I had the deviled egg appetizer and my wife had a hummus appetizer. They were both very good and large enough to where we didn't need to eat anything else. (We weren't immensely hungry anyway. Service was good as well. We'd visit again. View all feedback.
What 945erinf doesn't like about Lulu's Kitchen:
This restaurant is rated #1 for Alexandria. It is certainly overrated in my opinion. We visited on a Friday night. There was about a 30 minute wait. The food was average at best. It did did not look pike the pictures on the menu. If you're looking for an exceptional meal this is not it. Will not return. View all feedback.

-All of the food was excellent. The staff was very professional. The deviled egg appetizer was fantastic. The salads are a generous size.
The food was so so but the service was very slow. I believe they lost our order because after awhile the waitress came by said the fish was taking awhile but asked my husband what he had ordered. The fish arrived no flavor and hard. It was either over cooked or not cooked right. She removed it for or bill and gave us a complimentary bread pudding which was excellent.
I walked in and was immediately directed toward the cash register where a young lady took my takeout order. She directed me to pull around and park near the side door so that she could bring the food out to me. Fifteen minutes later, she brought my food out to me. Ten minutes later, my wife and I were unpacking our feast. In general, the food was impressive with notable exceptions. My piece of chicken (Tracie 's Chicken) was flavorful but as tough as leather. The puny plastic cutlery provided wasn 't up to the task. I had to use a sharp steak knife to cut the chicken. I ordered my wife 's burger of the month medium. It was barely medium rare. Otherwise, it, too, was delicious. The deviled eggs were beyond reproach absolutely delicious. Works of art. We are convinced that Spirits is a very fine place to eat. It certainly seems to be popular. We may have caught 'em on an off night, but if the opportunity arises, I 'll definitely go back to give them a chance to dazzle me.
We enjoyed our lunch although there were a couple of hiccups. Food was good but hamburger was a little overcooked bacon was missing. They got real busy so I’ll assume that’s why.
