This restaurant offers a variety of Italian hoagies with multiple choices. I typically choose the hard roll and switch between the spicy and mild options. It's the top Italian hoagie you'll find in the DC area. Definitely worth a visit. View all feedback.
What Monique B doesn't like about Italian Gourmet Deli:
I recently ordered a turkey, egg, and cheese bagel sandwich that tasted good. However, I was halfway through when I noticed a few spots of green mold on the outside of the second half of the plain bagel. View all feedback.
I ordered the bacon egg and cheese breakfast sandwich and added home fries. The breakfast sandwich was okay. They followed my notes to add jelly and scramble my eggs hard which was a plus. I would recommend cooking the bacon a little longer. It was visibly undercooked. The hash browns smelled pretty old, but I tried giving this a benefit of doubt. They were disgusting, tasted as old as they look, and didn’t even taste of potatoes. Not sure what they use for their hash browns, but I would not order the home fries. If I had the time, I would run these backs bf exchange for something else on the menu. First time ordering possibly and more than likely the last... Via Uber Eats.
When I ordered the chicken tenders I expected it to be Il Porto-level delicious. Instead, nothing but gristle. So gross.
I had a bagel egg n cheese. It was a nice soft bagel, loved it but the egg and cheese part was little dry and not much of a taste. I’ll check back with other stuff some other time.

I visited this deli while searching for the best Italian sub in the old town area. Unfortunately, this place did not meet my expectations. The positives include quick and friendly service, a convenient location, and a clean environment with a variety of chip options. However, despite specifically requesting a hot Italian sub, it arrived cold and soggy. The employee on the phone had confirmed my order, so there was no room for misunderstanding. The bread was noticeably soggy, even though it had only been a short time since I received it. Unfortunately, this did not satisfy my craving for a delicious Italian sub. With no other customers present to cause confusion, I will try my luck elsewhere in my search.
