We had the best experience! Such a lovely and inviting place. Customer service was warm and efficient. Apple Cider Doughnut with custard was amazing. Highly recommend! View all feedback.
I have officially fell in love since moving to DC. Here is my love story..... It all started on a hot summer day when a few fine food trucks stood in a line. Immediately, my eyes locked with Goodies because their sign said donutwich along with a few other items which were offered to my job during our summer social. Well, I decided to give the donutwich a try and now I 'm obsessed with it. Let 's talk about the creamy goodness of this frozen custard, complimented by a warm apple cider donut which was perfectly split down the middle and topped with caramel....yes people, caramel! My only regret was having not been able to indulge in 2 of these. I know you 're wondering and the answer is nope, they aren 't sweet at all, I would actually describe it as more of a balance in taste and a delicious treat for those hot summer days. Now!!!!!! I 'm going to have to rekindle my new found summer love and find them wherever they are. If you 're a frozen custard lover, this is the place for you....Get here!!!!!!!! Until we meet again, my sweet, sweet, custard love!
I'm from wisconsin, and this is the closest thing that i can get to wisconsin custard in a 4 hour radius! 100% would recommend!
The One Star I gave your establishment is not due to you selling out of a particular menu item. There are many places I've been to that have sold out and I came back later for the item I wanted. The One Star was given because of the lack of customer care and communication. You say you make small batches to ensure you sell out daily. So, the concern is not about your potential customers that may have driven miles of wasted gas, spent 15 minutes looking for parking, and another 10-15 minutes in line, just to be told you are sold out. Nope...instead your concern is the almighty dollar and not in your customers' time spent to support and visit your business. And what I mean by communication is that it would be nice if there was a sign letting passing customers know that you are out of a particular item so that they won't waste their time looking for a park and standing in a long line only to be told the item they came for is not available only two hours after opening and a whole four hours until closing. That's the least that could have been done but even something that simple wasn't done, which is why I left you a One Star. Good Day, sir!
We have so many experiences on a daily basis. Good ones, bad ones, forgettable ones, they happen all the time right? Every now and again though, you have one that sticks out for one reason or another, which was my experience. We came here on a thursday afternoon, and it was a nice 82 degrees, sunny with a slight breeze. We walk up and the proprietor was outside talking to other customers. After a few of us gathered by the menu, he brought out samples of custard after learning all of us were new customers. We ordered the boogie woogie and the big apple. After getting both of them, we sat in the small courtyard that is right outside of the ordering window. You know how in commercials and postcards where they show people engaging in some type of activity having the time of their life and you can do it too? Thats how i felt. As i started into my boogie woogie, I began looking around. I felt like I was on a farm with a cool breeze blowing. The bumblebees flew right over our heads from flower to flower doing bumblebee type stuff, and even though I don't particularly care for them i didn't care #savethebees. They do important work and we need them). I looked up and saw a bird, perched atop a sunflower having an afternoon snack. With every bite, everything just came together and was serene. And the ice cream was phenomenal. When you go and you need to) make sure to take either cash or have zelle/apple pay because that is all he takes. These are the small family owned businesses that we need to support so we can continue to enjoy them for years to come.
Always a winner- this is my husband's and My favorite sweet spot in town! We are blown away by the small batch, homemade favors and family recipes you really can't buy anywhere else like this. Great ingredients and love obviously go into everything they serve! Definitely worth the price, wait (individual servings take a couple minutes to make) and very filling. We adore this walk up , vintage stand! Keep it going! We will be back!
