Guests rave about the flavorful ceviches and a variety of saltados, with dishes like the chicken fried rice drawing special praise for its juiciness and seasoning. While some traditional favorites, like pollo saltado and seafood rice, have faced criticism for inconsistency in preparation, the overall experience remains enjoyable. The restaurant's welcoming staff and delightful drinks, like chicha morada, enhance the dining experience, making it a worthy destination for those craving authentic Peruvian fare.
I?ve eaten here a bunch of times. I really love their wide variety of soltados and their ceviches are very good as well. I?m not the biggest fan of their chicken but they have really tasty chicha. Good spot.
I ordered food yesterday for the first time at this restaurant. I travel often to Peru so I know pretty well what the food should be like. I ate la papa a la huancaina there at the restaurant. It was ok but the sauce was too watery, and really lacking or missing the key ingredient or ingredients that make it so delicious in Peru, perhaps the queso blanco or the crackers. Also as a warning I ordered the veggie thai saltado, which is supposed to have veggies, salmon and
It would have been nice for me to rate them higher. Got food to go. Service was very good. It's my second time getting food here. The chicken is tasty, and tastier than many others. I got five pieces of yuca. That would mean that one piece is one dollar, because a side of yuca is $5. That's outrageous. Small portions. Salad dressing ruined the salad, as it tasted like it was straight vinegar. This place seems to be hit-or-miss. Picture shows 4 yuca, as I had eaten one. I
Reallllly wanted to like this, but alas, I did not. Ordered my usual favorites at other places (a 1/4 dark meat chicken and arroz con mariscos). Cut into the chicken and it was not done, plus there was barely any char, nor crisp on the skin. The arroz con mariscos was mushy with undercooked, semi-crunchy rice. The flavors are good so I?ll be throwing this bad boy in the oven to try and salavge it and avoid getting sick ????
