The ambiance shines, especially indoors, although cleanliness concerns and noise levels can detract from the overall experience. With standout drinks that win acclaim and some reliable servers like Omar, the restaurant has its highs. However, numerous visitors express that the prices do not always match the quality, casting doubt on their return.
This was the first time I’ve been to Blackwall Hitch. It was relatively quiet because it was a Sunday evening. The entire experience exceeded my expectations. We made reservations and were sat pretty quickly. Our server was lovely and made wonderful recommendations. The filet mignon was perfection as well as the chocolate mousse cake. I cannot wait to go back!
I’m come to Alexandria every year for my birthday and this is one of my favorites places to go. Food is amazing, love that is by the water, seating options are amazing also. Thank you for an amazing experience!!
The location and views are a draw to this Old Town restaurant at the Waterfront. I also enjoyed fresh seafood, people watching, attentive service, and good music. The high ceilings in the King's Room are stunning. I appreciated the casually chic, Mid-Atlantic vibe.

The food at Blackwall Hitch is always outstanding. If you’re looking for a great Sunday brunch you should give them a try. The waffles and French toast are the best in the DMV! You’ll find fresh fruit, fresh seafood, and juicy prime rib. #HappyEating
