Under new owner Adam (a chef from Dunedin) there's definitely a good focus on food. I hope locals and tourists support this cafe as it's slightly out the way, so needs customers to ensure it stays afloat as a business. With what Adam brings in terms of food and wine focus, this changes this place up from previously being a cafe. Had a fantastic brunch there delicious. We'll be back for dinner. View all feedback.
The location is absolutely amazing, it's quiet and you've got some really nice views over the mountains around you. Plenty of tables outside. Had the raspberry cheesecake and it was delicious. Just a shame they don't have the Wi-Fi (would have been 5 stars). And I found one of the waitress pretty rude. But can't be perfect. Would definitely recommend it after walking up the big clock.
One of the first things we did in Alex was walk to the Shaky Bridge and the winery beyond that. My friends and I enjoyed their house white blend. We all were fans. I highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area.
Really enjoyed our meal. Great atmosphere, food, and friendly service. Thank you
My new favourite place! Enjoyed some delicious bagels for lunch, beautiful setting, sitting in the shade of a big old tree. There's even space for the kids to run around without bothering everyone too much! Love it. Can't wait to come back.
Nice and friendly staff, good tasty food. Been there while it was boiling water notice, arrived a bit earlier before their opening, however they served tea and cabinet food go us, really appreciated. Definitely worth a visit.
