Ile De Diana - Aléria

My partner had visited this restaurant in September 2021, so he was excited to take me this June to eat fresh oysters. We started with oysters which were large, very fresh and delicious; for mains we ordered Moules Meurnieres with frites which came next though the frites/chips had been forgotten and, after asking for them, they arrived when we were half way through our mussels. When we asked what the 'dessert du jour ' was, the waitress simply said, there 's is no more but did not enquire if we 'd like ice cream, which was the only other option. When my husband caught her attention ten minutes later and ordered one black and one 'noisette ' coffee (latter is with a dash of milk), she replied with a smirk that they didn 't do that! Very strange we thought as it is a very standard French style of coffee. Ten minutes later we still had no black coffees, so we decided to leave. At the counter to pay the waitress exclaimed oo less café, j 'ai les oubliés! Oh the coffees, I forgot them! Too late of course and with no apologie. With very simple fare on offer and only two items for dessert, we really felt that the availability of everything (dessert milk for coffee) would not have been too hard to supply. Plus the level of service for perhaps 24 30 people for lunch service was extremely poor, even rude in our experience. If there were a next time we would try the more up market establishment next door, as we would definitely not recommend this one. One star for the oysters and one star for the mussels.

This is a gem for sure — Quality, Service and best Oysters! We were hunting for “perfectly fresh oysters” and we had them there. Price Quality unbeatable If you want to have authentic moules marinière with oysters as starter, this is THE place don’t look for Pizza as you ain’t find one and for sure a good thing, bravo for the waitress, a gem as well no tourist trap I can tell. A bottle of Rosé cost seven€! A dozen Oysters sixteen€

Le cadre est superbe et original des plats de poissons et crustacés excellents si vous mangez en terrasse c'est le top ! Budget un peu élevé mais une fois de temps en temps ça vaut le detour
