The kitchen said it was closing at 3:45 but the staff made it clear tha... read more After a lovely day in Alella we arrived at 3pm and asked if there was still time to eat. The kitchen said it was closing at 3:45 but the staff made it clear that they were not that keen on serving anyone else even though they were serving food for another 45 minutes. The barmans response was sarcastic and rude. We were told we could eat if we decided immediately which we did. The plates were delicious but the waiter and waitress were so rude and full of excuses that the food wasn’t that important in the end. We ordered 3 shared dishes with some bread. The bread which was meant to be eaten with each dish was the last to come out. When we complained we received an earful from both the waitress and the waiter who also started talking about us with a table of guests. There were so many excuses about how each plate is served separately even the bread as a last plate that I made a joke about how I didn’t realize the bread was a desert. So when the waiter brought the bill he made a comment how the bill was the desert. We felt very unwelcome like only locals are allowed in this venue. It’s a shame because the food and venue are nice but the waiting service is terrible.
