We were staying the weekend in Alcorcon (on the south west side of Madrid) as our daughter lives nearby. The restaurant is easy enough to find with a GPS and close to a metro. There are quite a number of restaurants nearby and the actual frontage is quite small and without the internet recommendation we would have tried somewhere else. Inside we were given a very warm welcome (despite not being locals) and ordered the set Sunday lunch. The restaurant was very busy with good humoured local family diners. while we perused the choices for lunch we were given some very enjoyable migas (delicious day old breadcrumbs with olive oil) and some olives and Spanish ham. The set price menu for two courses and a dessert/ coffee was a very reasonable 11 euros. The food was excellent and prepared by two spanish ladies in the kitchen while the two owners attend to the customers. Not much english spoken so a little Spanish helps a bit. With the lunch a drink is included and at the end of the meal you are offered a liquer on the house. Not fine dining just very good value for Madrid. My wife and I have been back since our first visit and we were not disappointed. Our daughter dined with us on the second occasion and was very impressed. She has been back since with a friend. Recommended!

Good quality, quantity and price ratio. Home cooking, highly recommend ordering the croquettes. There weren't many people but since we were several people in the group it took them a little while to prepare everything we ordered but they still gave us an appetizer for the wait. In addition, several people in the group could not consume certain portions that we had ordered and they looked for other alternatives. The only negative point is that we left smelling a little fried.
