We stopped in for lunch after a visit to the monestary (this restaurant is just across the plaz... read more I have no idea why this restaurant has so many negative reviews. We stopped in for lunch after a visit to the monestary (this restaurant is just across the plaza). We are so glad we did, the wait staff was very friendly and accommodating. The food was great. My wife had chicken in a pot that she found delicious. I had prawns and ham with a spicy sauce. My daughter had spaghetti with clams. The menu was more than just seafood and a variety of meats on French Fries. It was among the top few meals we’ve had in Portugal in all aspects. It was fairly affordable too.

I have never had such great food except for my Mom. There is so much fresh food because the owner goes to the market daily. I will always return here for fresh fish or chicken dishes.

The staff is attentive and so friendly. We'll be back!
