Situated rather unromantically on the one way system around the back of Albufeira town hall, this tiny café is nonetheless a little gem. Although croissants and other French delicacies are available, so are the usual Portuguese pastelaria staples, such as sausages in bread and almond tart. The toasties are very good, the croissants large and the bagels are huge. Filled with lettuce, tomato, cheese and bacon with a sl... View all feedback.
A really nice cafe with great food at reasonable prices, The owner and his female assistant are really nice people. We had brunch here three times, I would have given five stars but the position is not the best being close to the road but do not let that deter you, It is well worth visiting, Coxinha's, Mmmmmmm very morish.
Francisco is in excellent host and George a nice waiter, thank you, we will be back.Amazing sangria and tapas.
When walking towards the old town of Albufeira we came across this little gem of a Pastelaria located in an area full of good establishments like this.Panis France is a very good Pastelaria with a French theme although they have all the staple dishes a Portuguese Pastelaria would have they also have French delicacies on offer also.Very small but spottless inside with first rate service only came here for a beer as we were meeting friends in the old town. When here we opted to sit on the sun terrace outside and enjoyed a fine bottle of Sagres Cerveja served very cold and at a very reasonable price. If ever you are ever in this area of Albufeira and see this tiny Portuguese Pastelaria give it a try you won't be disappointed.Located on Rua das Telecomunicacies 12 Loja B. Opening hours are. Monday-Sunday-Don't know
We had passed this little cafe a couple of time's while walking toward's the Old Town and so we decided to have a small beer and check it out. The cafe is small, we sat outside on their fabulous little terrace were a very pleasant member of staff could be the owner took our order of beer's, these were brought over to our table and were served in absolutely perfect condition, iced cold and sparkling and we just chilled out and watched the world go by. This us a lovely cafe ,the interior us small to say the least and the outside seating can accommodate about 10 people, if this cafe had 20 customers it would be full and that's part of its charm plus the staff are realy nice. we only stayed for one beer before we moved on to the Old Town but had a very pleasant time here. Very easy to locate on RUA DAS TELECOMUNICACOES on the way to the Old Town ,and next door to a fantastic sushi restaurant called THE HAPPY SUMO RESTAURANT well worth a visit . Not sure on the opening hour's but we were here before midday and there were customer's sat outside gaving a drink.
This was the weirdest experience we have had but also the most pleasant. Deciding to walk to the old town for breakfast a guy giving out leaflets gave us one offering English breakfast with fresh orange juice for 5.50 euros, not the cheapest of breakfasts in Albufeira but not too bad. We took the leaflet and two hundred yards further on we spotted the resaurant and decided to give it a try. I went to the counter while my wife took a table on the terrace and gave the leaflet to the guy behind the counter, it is a patisserie, he looked at me dumbfounded and asked me to wait, his English was poor and communication was difficult, he went away. Shortly after he came out with the manager, looking like the guy from the Dubonet ads of the 60's, who pleasantly asked what I wanted. I explained that we'd been given the the leaflet and wanted the English breakfast, he read the leaflet over again as though it was news to him, he took me to my seat and indicated that he would get our breakfast. Shortly after he came with two large glasses of fresh orange juice and two coisants pointing out that they were free. Some minutes later the manager went out of the restaurant and returned ten minutes later with two bags, we joked he had fetched our breakfasts from elsewhere. Shortly after he brought out our breakfasts which was quite good. He returned shortly with a jug of fresh orange juice and refilled our empty glasses. After we had finished he returned for the plates and came back to ask if we wanted coffee stressing it was free, which we accepted. He brought our coffee and gave us an eclair that was cut in potions again saying it was free, delicious. I paid after the coffee and the bill was as described on the leaflet 11 euros. Unfortunately we found this cafe/restaurant on the last full day of our holiday or we would have given more of our custom to this great little place.
