Living in Dubai we have certainly had our fair share of excellent brunches but nothing that matches the value-for-money of L14! €23 for adults and €12 for children 12 years-old and under! As it says in my headline; I just cannot see how they can make any money! There were only fives tables occupied yesterday and most were just couples, not a family of five like us. There was a selection of hot and cold breakfast items on the buffet including an egg station where the chef will cook your order freshly. There was also quiche, various cheeses and hams and a good array of breads and pastries. There was no restriction on quantity nor for drinks which included sparkling wine, sangria and juices. Tea and coffee were also available. In addition to the above there was a seperate menu of items which were cooked to order. This included chicken benedict, beef cheek wellington (the puff pastry was a little soggy underneath) a healthy poke bowl, salmon sliders (the best thing on the menu according to my son), avacado toast and a selection of (American style) pancakes. All items were very tasty but my wife felt the salad items lacked seasoning and dressing. Service was fine but they may well have struggled had the restaurant been busier. When we booked, the website said that 31st July would be the last day of the brunch but it has now been revised to 30th October so I would certainly recommend giving it a try. Don't go expecting Michelin-starred cuisine but you will certainly get outstanding value-for-money. Enjoy!
In a hotel but don 't let that put you off. Prawn risotto was superb and even the snacks of tacos nachos are really good. This chef also has a knack for desserts so leave room to try one
As the title, great food and service, quite upmarket, strange the bar is not open on Mondays and Tuesdays so you can’t get a pre dinner drink. Excellent, polite and attentive staff, nice ambience and decor. Food excellent. The mussel soup starter by itself will mean we shall return, sublime!
We had a Sunday brunch at L14, great view, good food and very nice staff. Lovely dining room with a lot of space. Do not miss it!
We chose this restaurant as it was one of the three hotel restaurants available. It’s classed as ‘A La Carte’ and across the road from our hotel block so it was convenient for us. The restaurant is on the same street as a couple of NAU hotels/complexes, which is a lovely street full of palm trees. The restaurant is based on the second floor. We both ordered the Picanha steak which was cooked perfectly and was really nice. Surprisingly unlike the UK, we were given two cuts of steak each, which we feel like was better value for money. We can’t really comment on the service as we were the only two in the restaurant, which was slightly off putting with the quiet atmosphere. Nevertheless the service was as expected from this type of restaurant. We personally wouldn’t return because we prefer a more lively setting (although we did visit out of season). Food was great and service was as anticipated.
