What Raulatrix doesn't like about Cafe Royal:
The place is very vivid and centrally located. It is offered a wide variety of local sweets and foods. I tried Lapas Grelhadas, Chorizo and a Quejada da Vila. It was a bit pricey comparing with rest of reataurants I was in, as all was about 17€. View all feedback.
We stopped here for lunch while waiting to check into our hotel. We had a couple of beers, salads and um bifana com queijo. The food was fresh and delicious. Our server, Lino, was so much fun welcoming and helpful! I would definitely recommend.

Great service and tasty food.Looking forward to returning on our next visit. Really good value for money. The patio is a great place to people watch on a sunny day.
Great spot for a tasty lunch or afternoon drinks and cake. We had toasted sandwiches and a burger. Good value.
Terrible rude service. If you do not speak the language do NOT bother. They take pride in making fun of tourists ignoring them, then calling them out assuming you do not understand they are making fun of you. I was most upset when the barista was “wolf whistling” at a woman who got clearly upset. We walked out.
