I have struggled to find good places for a quick lunch in the town so headed up to Conflans for a mooch around the Medieval village. After realizing that we were very out of season finding almost everything closed, we came upon the Restaurant l'Authentic. There was a good value lunchtime menu on the board outside and plenty of choice from the main menu. All the food was home made and tasty. All simple dishes but well cooked in good quantities. The waitress was very attentive and we really enjoyed our lunch. We spent 38 € on two 3 course meals with a glass of wine and a coffee each, great value after spending time in ski resorts.

We had lunch there and had m... read more A great choice highly recommended by our Bed and Breakfast. The food is typical of the region and very well prepared and presented. We had lunch there and had many choices. It was crowded with locals as others were not so we knew it was special. Prices were reasonable and service was very friendly. I believe it was a family run establishment and our limited French was helpful but not necessary as the service staff made every effort to help us. Much appreciated. You will not go wrong eating here but do arrive early so as not to be disappointed with a full restaurant.
