Lina’s is always fun. The staff are super friendly and attentive. The food is delicious and the wines are fabulous. On Saturday nights they have live French jazz music which adds to the atmosphere. You can sit on the street on a warm night. We...often pop up for a wine and cheese board for dessert to listen to the music. Open till late. View all feedback.
What Rodolfo Fabbri doesn't like about Lina's Bistro a Vin:
Haf an evening meal here found the staff friendly Good selection of wine, l had the duck which was well cooked and the accompanying pork sausage consisted of 4 slices placed around the plate just found it grossly overpriced for what was offered. The lamb curry on special was a little watery to taste, lacking in the omg those flavours category and also over priced. This was the second time we have been here but unlike... View all feedback.
The wine selection is fabulous, however, the food is expensive for what you get. The bar is elegantly featured and provides a sociable atmosphere. We have enjoyed the entertainment as it always has a french flavour.
I have eaten at Lina’s quite a few times. It’s a small space with great atmosphere, serving simple classic French food. Everything that comes out of the kitchen looks delicious. The Mauritian dishes are my favorite and on Monday nights there are usually a couple...of specials which include a glass of wine. They serve complimentary warm bread with amazing house made butter to enjoy whilst waiting for your meal. You can also sit at the bar for a drink with a number of bar snacks on offer. Highly recommend this great little restaurant.
I’m sitting in a demi-full Café, enjoying the dregs of my Leif bier, waiting to go and collect my son after swim squad training MSAC after some I salute him. I salute him from a great little French Café that was empty, but...showing promise, at now at buzzing. All but one table with a reserved sign for good reason. Great atmosphere generated by the low lighting and the music that’s so slight I can’t tell you what it is, and the classic clink chin clink of a busy bar. Its my second time here, and I will return.
Another day, another Restaurant but tonight was special. I’ve always liked this part of Melbourne for that something a little unique and reminds me a lot of Europe, particularly Spain. There are three parts to this restaurant. Outside on the wide pavement are some tables...and chairs and on this mild summer night, the perfect place for a wine or Aperol and watch the world go by. Inside thereis the bar inside with stools. This is where you order the ‘bar food’. There are also tables to sit at here and then outside at the rear in a small courtyard. The toilets are between the courtyard and main restaurant. This is probably more known as a wine bar with a brilliant range of local and international wines. The Sunbury Shiraz was excellent. We ordered a platter of nibbles which was Consisting of four lots of cured meat, sausage and pate. Came with garlic butter and small slices of crusty bread. We were offered a little more bread at no extra cost. The pate was superb and there was s generous amount of food. The main menu for those seated at tables appeared to be a little different but with lots of good choices. Portion sizes are good. Dietaries are easily catered for. Wheelchair friendly. Kid friendly. Good parking out the front and in side streets. Finally and probably most importantly the staff are lovely. Very helpful and eager to please. Would’ve taken more photos but it just seemed inappropriate as it was so busy. But hey Lina’s invite me back and I’ll snap away. I will return.
Lina's have ben around for years and is still great. Lovely wine, music and food, all served with a friendly smile.
