What Jim Small doesn't like about Crescendo Exquisite Food Fine Wines:
Should probably be made clear that it’s reservation ONLY… trying to support good local food options while traveling for work is always a goal of mine, unfortunately I’ll never know if this was any good. The fellow at the door informed me they are closing for good at the end of the month. View all feedback.
Wonderful place. So sad to see it end but totally understand. Enjoy your next adventure!
Wonderful food great service but called for reservation and was told nope booked and that 800people had called and 400 were on waiting list! Really you need someone who knows how to treat people don’t think we’ll be back

We were pleasantly surprised to discover a hidden gem in a small town in Minnesota! The restaurant's musical theme was evident throughout and worked well. The menu was excellent and featured seasonal dishes, while the wine list was extensive and reasonably priced. We enjoyed the crab cakes and sweet corn fritters as appetizers. I had the summer lobster and sweet corn saute, which had a unique flavor combination that was out of this world. My husband tried the wild mushroom ravioli and loved it. Our friend raved about the filet, calling it one of the best steaks she had ever eaten. For dessert, we had chiffon cake with lemon curd and chocolate lava cake. Our server was friendly and attentive. The highlight of the night was Chef Bob, who not only created amazing dishes but also played classical and baroque songs on the grand piano for the guests. If you are passing through Albert Lea on I90 or 35, make sure to stop by Crescendo on a Thursday, Friday, or Saturday. Trust me, it's worth the detour!
I had not visited this restaurant in many years, but I was very impressed with the menu, food, and service. It was definitely worth the drive from Clear Lake, IA!
