Harmanco's - Albemarle

I stopped by for lunch the other day and had mixed feelings upon entering. The place could use a thorough cleaning and a bit of a makeover. However, the lunch menu was quite extensive, which usually raises some concerns about the freshness of the food, but that was not the case here. The portions are enormous! My husband ordered the beef gyro plate and couldn’t finish it all. I opted for a taco salad, and I have to say, it was one of the best taco salads I’ve had since moving here, even better than those from many Mexican restaurants. The waitstaff was attentive to our needs, and our meals came out quickly, making it a great option for those on a lunch break. Just a note: it can be a bit chilly inside, so if, like me, you tend to get cold easily, consider bringing a light sweater.

They food is terrible and overpriced for the poor quality. The service and cook is very slow. The atmosphere is fine. The problem is all the rest.

I am so thankful for a place with great gluten free separately fried food!! My favorites are chicken wings, onion rings, fries, Greek salad with gyro meat. Next time I want to try the chicken tenders!

I mean they are trying. OMB copper on tap. Kids menu. Friendly staff. But the food is just not very good. My steak was tough and under seasoned. Good effort on having more than one type of fry but they were freezer burnt. They just need to bring a chef in that cooks good, fresh food. They have the space, the staff, now they just need the food.

Hermanco is a little out of the way but the food is fabulous !!! It's a very relaxing restaurant and the owner (Jamie) makes sure everything is to your liking. The waitress is attentive and very friendly. We will be going there again ! Thank you Hermanco !
