good food and service. a travel companion brought me here and we were not disappointed. he travels a lot and has many possibilities and comes here when he can, so that says a lot for the quality if this company could pay for something more expensive. the warm bowl meets the typical portland drizzling day. the interior of the restaurant is something quirky, but it is clean. I tried to order a meal, but they were out of the sauce I wanted. I then tried something else, only to find out they were out of that too. I ended up ordering a BBQ plate, which was served with overly juicy meat and some rice (although the advertised image looked much nicer).

While I don't mind hole-in-the-wall restaurants, I did feel that paying $18.00 plus tip for this experience was a bit much. They could have put that money towards their child's college fund or spent it on some snacks at Chipotle for a better and cheaper experience. To add insult to injury, when the food finally arrived, the server said, "You know what's funny? I actually found the sauce for the meal you originally wanted."
The server was pleasant and welcoming. The restaurant is cozy and had a good crowd when we arrived. Unfortunately, they had run out of menus. However, the menu selection was fantastic. We enjoy trying new restaurants, especially ones that serve pho. The prices for the pho were a bit higher compared to other pho places we've been to, with bowls costing between $15-$16. We decided to order two different bowls of pho, as well as a $19 dish that came with steamed rice, ripening, garneling, pork, and a minced cauliflower salad.
I discovered this restaurant while working in Albany for a week and I absolutely loved it! The pho is delicious and the teriyaki is amazing. I dined here two days in a row and definitely plan on returning the next time I am in Albany. The staff is incredibly friendly and seemed to remember many of the customers who visited. I can't wait to eat here again!
The wok-fried salad at this restaurant is truly the best salad I've ever had. I've had it before, but when I moved away, I couldn't forget how delicious it was. It has left a lasting impression on me, and now I make sure to order it every time I come back. Thank you.
This is my favorite spot for delicious Pho! The owner is usually present and very pleasant to interact with. I highly recommend trying Christian's delight.
