What Jess the Blessed doesn't like about La Empanada Llama:
I was disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. The woman at the counter appeared to not understand me and simply said no to everything. Additionally, the online menu was inaccurate, so when I went in to pick up my order, I was unable to add items that I later saw were actually available on the menu. Despite these issues, the food was excellent. View all feedback.
I had the bean and cau cau empanada- both really good. further vegan options are the yuca fries and apfel empanada. large tasting
I really liked this cute little place which was located on a bustling intersection just off I-90 in Albany, New York. It's a small family-run restaurant that does carry out, eat in, and delivery. We started with empanadas which were served with a green coconutty sauce like a curry. Then I got a salad and balsamic dressing which came with my meal. My boyfriend ordered yucca fries which were served with the same green sauce as the empanadas. Finally, I got a quinoa stuffed pepper meal which came with rice and beans as well as a turmeric based chickpea and spinach salad (served warm). I loved it all! I even ordered more chickpeas All for $25! I'd highly recommend this place whether you are staying in Albany or passing through. Just plan for some what tricky street parking!
Empanadas are soooo delicious! The tamales are also very tasty. Very recommended!
Everything was delicious. There are a good amount of vegan options and the people who work there are very sweet. Inside there is a lot of authentic 'stuff' from Peru and it makes You feel like you're actually there. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to experience a new kitchen and culture.
Hey, this place is pretty good! The empanadas are fun. I ate the takeover of this place before I was vegan, and after making the switch I noticed my choices felt somewhat limited. That means the Yucca friars should die.
