La Bottega Del Gelato - ALBA

Alba is famous for it's truffels, but if you're their then go this this place!! I've tried so many Gelato stores in Italy, but this one is absolutely superb! They have so many different flavours so I tried at least 10 of them! The ice cream is so overwhelming and add to it the sincerely friendly owners and this ice cream store deserves at least one Michelin star if there was any! The owners are very proud of their ice cream and although they are not situated in the center of Alba, if you're in Alba you definitely mustn't miss this, because your visit wouldn't be complete! Woow!!

I ate a lot of gelato in Alba and in my travels elsewhere in Italy, but this one stands out as being the best, and having the most variety, especially for dairy free gelato. Elsewhere I ate delicious fruit based gelato, and, if I was lucky, dark chocolate gelato, but that was usually it for dairy free options. Here they had a large number of fruit based gelatos, the coveted dark chocolate, and the most incredible (and dairy free) hazelnut gelato. I wish I 'd eaten it everyday it was that good. For those who can enjoy dairy, they also had an incredible selection of delicious dairy based gelato, all looking like fluffy clouds as gelato should. This place is only a short walk from the heart of Alba 's old city centre, and is well worth it.
