There are over a hundred places to have coffee in Alassio. Some are clearly geared to the tourist trade, some to the locals. Zoe strikes a hospitable balance, welcoming all and providing a quiet and tasteful venue for very fine coffee (Pasqualini) and what appears to be a lovely selection of pastries and cakes. I've only stopped a few times for cappucino, which is deftly made and at a very fair price, perhaps 60% of what you will pay along the water's edge. This is a delightful stop along one of the town's quieter streets.
