This delightful cafe/bar looks as if it has been here for a hundred years, all that time looking stylish. It is very near the sea and the main shopping street in Alassio. If you are lookling for a gentle break while you are in Alassio, I thoroughly recommend this lovely place. I have visited it 4 times. View all feedback.
What elwick11 doesn't like about Sanlorenzo:
This cafe is in a good position to watch the world go by being between the beach and the shopping streets. We were only here for a coffee but the pastries and cakes looked good. Service was a bit slow for us seated outside. Prices looked to be average for the area. View all feedback.

We ordered 2 Bellini 7 euros drink and recieved poor quality prosecco with industrial peach juice. Everyone knows Bellini is made of fresh pressed white peaches. Glasses were dirty. Don't go there. Very expensive and low quality
On the prettiest street in Alassio and with the kindest and most professional wait staff, this is a lovely place to have a drink, a coffee, a freshly squeezed spremuta of fruit juice. They seem to cater to a quieter, more refined crowd, although everyone is welcome. You will usually find Franco, the owner sitting outside, keeping an eye on things, and with a jovial word for locals or visitors. They make many of their own pastries and have a fine supply of premium chocolate on hand for a gift to go. You won't find a lovelier place to watch the world go by in Alassio.
We waited a long time to be served coffee, outside, and were just about to get up and leave when a pretty waitress came to finally take our order. The two coffees were a very reasonable 5 euros, but, after giving her a 10 euros note, she came back with 4 euros change. As a matter of principle, I pointed this out to her and her face dropped and no apology was given, but, eventually the euro returned. I would have, anyway, left the one euro as a tip, but, given the fact that she had taken it anyway and then had attitude, I didn't leave her anything. Nice enough location and the coffee was fine.
