Pizzeria La Lanterna - ALASSIO

Siamo andati in questa pizzeria su consiglio del mio amico, e devo dire che aveva ragione. La pizza era leggera e deliziosa e anche gli antipasti erano ottimi. Il prezzo era giusto.

In questo ristorante la pizza è deliziosa e enorme... la posizione si affaccia sul mare, regalandoci uno splendido panorama... Consiglio questa meta vicino alla famosa torre e al sentiero che porta al porto e alla maestosa scogliera della Madonna che si innalza sul mare.

Grande varietà di pizze, anche gourmet, davvero deliziose. Posizione molto suggestiva sul lungomare di Alassio. Personale superlativo!

Best in town. Not only the pizza's. Try the Carpaccio di Tonno. Great hosts by the way. Good wine. I will visit again for sure.

There is no need to re-review a restaurant every time one goes there, although things can change quite radically at some places in a matter of months. I was surprised to see my last review of La Lanterna was over 7 years ago. We have been back a number of times in between. The important message is that it is still genuinely welcoming, crafts respectable pizza with quality ingredients and offers them at a fair price. My advice is to skip the touristy places along the promenade and head for this one which serves both locals and visitors with equal courtesy. In addition to some decent beers on tap, they feature the seasonal offerings of Hubertus, some serious and sophisticated bottles from a 4 century old brewer. I wish they wouldn't turn the radio to a station that features people who can't sing singing, accompanied by musicians that don't deserve the title, but that is a societal problem we won't be able to solve at a local pizzeria. We will be back this winter when, hopefully, the Porcini will be available and served on top of their nice thin crust pies. In the meantime, enjoy their wide range of traditional toppings. The owners are good ambassadors for Alassio and this is our go to place for pizza in town.
