We are fond of the owners, and appreciate the quality, of half a dozen cafes near our apartment in Alassio. Since we are not residents, perhaps our divided loyalties are forgiven. There are natives who would never be seen in some places, often for reasons that go back many years and are beyond our ken. Cipi is so cozy, the proprietor so jovial and the coffee so excellent, that we could simplify by coming here all of the time. They are not on the sea, on the most fashionable part of the street or with a classic reputation. But where the welcome is this genuine, that's all one needs.
Alassio has at least 60 cafes/bars, I 've lost count. But Cipi is special, The owner is a delightful and friendly character who will genuinely welcome you into this non-touristy and immaculate local. They serve Hausbrandt Coffee from Trieste, one of the very best in Italy. The location in Via Dante, both inside and outside tables, will put you in the heart of our favorite Alassio shopping street. They have free wifi and you will be paying resident not tourist prices for premium ingredients.
Beautiful bar, friends of dogs and nice, great coffee
Follow the signs to the entrance: push (rocco), pull (lapo). coffee number 2 in alassio (after my hahahahaha). the right place to get a few slenders out of their brain. mythical carlito and ale!!!
Friendly and kind owner
