I ordered the pork dumpling soup. Food was absolutely delicious but too spicy for me! I didn't realize that should have requested less spice. The older gentleman, who I assume is the owner was pleasant and helpful in answering my questions. View all feedback.
What Frances H doesn't like about Wild Ginger:
Two stars for fresh and somewhat good flavors, but nothing special. Nothing craveable or that would have me go back. Barely any lamb in the spicy cumin lamb in sauce. Not worth the price charged. Ratio of noodles to veggies to meat was way off. Very disappointed. View all feedback.
The zha jiang noodles and stewed pork burger were outstanding. The other dishes also had authentic flavors. China offers a vast array of incredible regional cuisines that deserve more recognition. We appreciate how this restaurant sets itself apart and stands out from all the others that simply mimic popular trends.
This restaurant is consistently outstanding. It's my favorite local spot for dining. They serve the absolute best dumpling soup in the East Bay.
Malatang was completely lacking in flavor. There was no numbing sensation or spiciness whatsoever. This was quite disappointing, especially considering the price and the fact that I ordered it extra spicy.

Consistently so, so good. Seriously. The D1. Pork dumplings in sauce 酸辣猪肉饺 might be my favorite, but the H2. Pork"zha jiang"in sauce 炸酱干面 is a close second.
