Top Up Tea is a fantastic bubble tea shop that I recommend to anyone in the Oakland/Alameda area. I tried their Choco Taro Smoothie and it was absolutely amazing!!! The combination of chocolate and taro flavors was perfect, creating a sweet and creamy drink that was so satisfying. What Show dislikes about Top Up:
I ordered my drink online. Simple honeydew milk tea with oat milk and honey boba. I picked up my drink, and overheard the staff complaining about how badly they want to go home. Shortly after I grabbed my drink and drove off I realize they there are unwanted matcha agar boba added as ingredients to my drink which was disappointing. I get it, no one wants to work all day, but you should at least do your job right View all feedback.
I have been a regular at this restaurant since it first opened, and it never fails to impress! The drinks are consistently delicious, with my personal favorite being the Pink Dragon. As for snacks, I highly recommend the Bacon Cheese Fries, but I prefer to order them without the bacon bits and with extra sauce and seasoning instead. It always turns out perfectly.
I always love the Lychee Bomb! My niece's favorite is the rose tea.
The boba drinks at this restaurant are absolutely delicious and the popcorn chicken is fantastic.

Loved the bacon cheese fries, gyoza, and the taro milk tea with lots of boba and other additions! YUM! I appreciate that this place allows you to order as many milk tea additions as you want because I usually like to order all of them. And also that they split the drink between two cups because of all the additions. Great place!
