I often have hit or miss luck with sushi restaurants, but Sakura is consistently excellent. I really adore their Kamikaze roll, and their spicy tuna is also great. My wife loves the salmon sushi pizza and the avocado bomb. Even though we've moved 20+ miles away, we still make the trek there when we want excellent sushi. View all feedback.

Have been going here for years, the staff is always very friendly and the food always tastes flavorful!
The waitress/hostess is always super friendly. She is often the only one working the tables or the to go area, so sometimes things take a bit longer. But they are so nice and the food is always consistent and good. I highly recommend it.
Sakura is a smallish Japanese restaurant in central Alameda. The food is fine, but the service is exceptional for a small establishment. Highly recommended.
Went there during dinner hours and the place was quite, it is more of a lunch place. The food is fresh and sushi tender but when buying the dinners, I needed to add an appetizer to make the meal complete. Well run business and the sushi and saki were great but they need a choice of a big bento box to heartier appetites.
