This place is our all time favorite. Truly the best ice cream you'll find. Made right in front of you. I haven't tried that many of the savory dishes but the ones I've had are good. But the ice cream is really leaps and bounds above other places. My kids love to watch it being made as much as they love to eat it. (And it's the only place I get ice cream too. Other places just too sugary for my taste. This one is real... View all feedback.
What Woodwindsrock doesn't like about Roll Bowl:
The food is good, the curry rice was pretty decent and inspired me to add broccoli to my curry's at home. But, and I hate to say this, it's not as good as before. I genuinely miss the Thai basil chicken. Haven't had any of the soups yet so might update my rating. The woman who owns it is super nice and I understand that she probably needed to streamline service, that's fine, but I honestly would have paid more if it... View all feedback.
The food is delicious and reasonable. The serve the most delicious chilean sea bass for only $14.99 and other things I 've tried are delicious as well. Where it gets pricey is when you decide to eat there. There is a small fee for eating there added to the bill and then they ask for a tip starting at 15% 22% for ordering at the counter and their bringing the food to your table. But that 's about all the table service you will receive. It 's a one many show each time I 've visited. The same person takes your order, has you pay, runs to the back and cooks and delivers it to your table. Pretty impressive! I think it 's an Alameda sleeper of a restaurant. I haven 't had a chance to try their specialty rolled ice cream...because their portions are so good, you don 't have room for dessert. Enjoy and let me know how you liked it!
There's a bit of a wait for the ice cream but it is great. My bestie is a regular here and she loves it.
Good Garlic Noodles for a reasonable price Now I'm there every Wednesday for lunch now
We were in the area after a beach day and my son was craving icicles and we found this place on yelp and gave it a go. Not at all a good experience. Not friendly customer service whatsoever over priced they charge a 15% fee if you'd like to dine in oddly. We were still excited to try their ice cream we got oreo but were also disappointed with that. It tasted like literal milk. Did not satisfy the craving. Alameda has so many better options, I wish I would've gone with. I gave two stars because ordering was easy with a erasable pen and menu to mark your choice.
This place never disappoints. I go here specifically for the durian ice cream. I love how fresh the ingredients are, how fast the service is and the staffs are always friendly and very knowledgeable. Highly recommended and will be coming here again.
