What User doesn't like about Steigenberger Nile Palace Luxor Restaurants:
Today, we ordered Tom Yum soup, Pad Thai noodles, and shrimp in sauce from the menu. We were excited to find out that the Chef at this restaurant was Thai, but our excitement was short-lived. We were disappointed to discover that Tom Yum and Tom Kha are the same soup here. The only difference is the choice of shrimp or chicken. The dishes were average in taste and not at all what we were expecting. Overall, nothing s... View all feedback.

Amazing food. Chef Nira is incredible. We ordered several main dishes and apetizers and it feels like you are in Thailand. 10 /10. The site is beautiful and service with really nice people. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: E£400–500 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Parking space: Not sure
Fantastisches, frisches, gut gewürztes Essen. Jedes davon sehr lecker. Die Kokosnuss-Milch ist der Hammer! Bester Thai ever! Love it! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
P’Nira brings a taste of Thailand to the Steigenberger Thai as described on the menu. The food is very good, especially when compared to many other restaurants in Luxor. Although the Tom Kha Kai may be a little mild in terms of spice and creaminess, it’s understandable, as the majority of the customers are non-Asians. After days of food disappointment (especially the pizza from the Winter Palace), this place surprisingly met my expectations. As someone born and raised in Bangkok, we have a phrase, “Lang-Nua-Chop-Lang-Ya,” which means everyone has their own preferences. So, I’d say there’s no need to worry about whether this place serves “authentic” Thai food. As long as it provides a very good and enjoyable meal (especially in this environment), I think it’s one of the best options this city has to offer. P.S. It would be even better if I could have a Cha-Yen. P.S.2 The sauce provided with the calamari is Mae Pranom’s sauce (which is best for fried poultry). I suggest asking for the seafood sauce instead—it pairs really well.
The ambiance is lovely, but the food is a bit lacklustre. I had the green chicken curry, which was too savoury for my liking (I also couldn’t quite taste the coconut milk and perhaps it was overpowered by the saltiness). The seafood salad was alright but the shrimp didn’t taste very fresh. I’d say come here if you want a nice, fancy (fancier than the average Luxor restaurant environment, at least) environment for dinner just don’t have high expectations for the food, especially not if you’ve had authentic Thai cuisine before
