Trattoria Ragú - Alajuela

We went to this restaurant not too long ago when the city did not allow to dive due to COVID-19. it poured out rain and we had a bigger group, the load owner invited us personally and while we waited for our pizza, he made us some appetizers and homemade limonade just because. the family pizza comes with either a koks, a lemonade drink or a 10% discount and it was so good. the owner is from italian and really knows what he does, some of the best pizza I had in my whole life and I was a few times in italia! I would recommend 10/10, and it is also quite close to the airport when they arrive or soon leave I would make a quick stop here. I'm sorry I don't have photos, we ate in the car:

The owner here was absolutely amazing, and had super friendly staff. they treated us like family and offered an amazing experience. I recommend to anyone to check this out if they like an authentic Italian food experience. Eat was great!

I have some great reviews and decided to try it out as I am an extreme Italian food (especially pasta lovers. we ordered the capprese salad, diablo pizza, tie alfredo with ham and spaghetti carbonara. none of them disappointed! everything. was delicious, the personal was friendly and it was such a sweet little hidden spot. also the olive oil was amazing! highly recommended overall. everything we had was perfect: next time we visit.

Bauspieler food, atmosphere, people! it is our last night in costa rica, before they returned to usa, and this restaurant gave us the most amazing last dinner and experience in this beautiful country! from the moment we set ourselves, the owner helped us to translate the menu into English, and the server worked on such high standard and let us so welcome! the owner even took the time to bring us our teller himself, which was the sweetest touch! the server were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout the evening meal. the garlic bread, carbonara pasta and tiramisu were the best homemade Italian food we ever had! and we even went to italia, haha! to finish everything, they brought us free limoncello dishes to finish the evening! they felt us at home and so appreciated! the owner talked to us about our travels and his own from the island capri, and it was such an incredible experience around! we will definitely come back to ragu when we arrive in costa rica! many thanks!
