Aqula Beer Cafe - Akita

Not only the best beer I've ever drank in Japan, but definitely one of the best yeastweizein I've ever tried! The founder of the brewery learned his craft in Germany, imported it still and all brewing facilities, and now he makes a beer I wish I could get from the tap in Tokyo! Definitely worth a visit if you're here.

Great food and atmosphere! I'm not a big beer drinker, but my friends loved the different varieties. The cocktails and the hot Sake were pretty good, but the Sake was not as hot as it should be. You used glass glasses instead of ceramics to use it, so maybe this had some effect?

Good place for drinks. Beers were more interesting than your average Japanese warehouse, but not exceptional. One of our castings was very skunky, as it is local brews that I suspect the **** was not properly cleaned for a while.

The beer was interesting, cosy room upstairs, a little hard to find but that just made it more fun. The food is quaint, different than I was expecting but ok. I would still go back.

Interesting place. Beer is good and range adequate. Service was attentive and friendly despite the language barrier. Server was most patient in helping us order. We had some beer snacks such as cheese and crackers, in my opinion not the highlight of the place but was fine all the same. The place was a little difficult to find, zoom in on Google maps and you should be able to find the complex of businesses where it's located.
