We went here Friday night for dinner - for our anniversary (wasn't something we made public knowledge). We called ahead to see if it would be an issue to get a... read more We went here Friday night for dinner - for our anniversary (wasn't something we made public knowledge). We called ahead to see if it would be an issue to get a table and it wasn't. We arrived around 6:30. There was no wait for the dining room or bar area, but a wait for the patio. We opted to sit in the bar area and wait for a patio table if one happened to come up and if not, we were fine staying in the bar. We sat by the fireplace - it's a nice space. Our server came over eventually (took a while) and we ordered drinks and an appetizer (mushrooms Neptune). About 20 minutes later, we got a table on the patio and so we moved out there. We had our drinks but had not gotten our apps or ordered our food yet (had not been asked)We moved out to the patio which was also a nice space. We were at the back, near a type of fountain - a relaxing spot. We brought our drinks with us of course, and waited for our mushrooms. About another 20 minutes passed by and we finally received some bread, and about 5 minutes after that - our mushrooms. It seemed that it took a very long time. (Delivered by a different server)Eventually, our server came back by, after our apps were done and asked if we would like to order our meals now. We were ready long ago! We were actually tempted to just say forget it and move on because we had been there so long, but we were looking forward to our meals so we decided to stay. My boyfriend ordered the prime rib and I ordered the filet with bernaise - both medium rare. Once again we waited over an hour for our food. I'm not sure why or what was going on, but it was not overly busy (you could walk in and get a table immediately still) and we didn't order anything special or different. Once again, we were considering telling them to forget it. When the food came, it was delicious. For that, we are grateful. Perfect melt in your mouth steak, prime rib and veggies. The food really was delicious but the service definitely left something to be desired. We would have had dessert and stuck around for another drink however, by this point we had already been there 3 plus hours. We have been to many kegs and never had such slow and disinterested service. That was disappointing on a rare night out without kids. All in all, we may go back, we may go to a different location next time. We really liked the atmosphere and food but the service left a lot to be desired.

Speaking of my meal, I enjoyed a medium rare steak with a fully loaded baked potato. The steak was done to perfection. I have been here 4 times and my steak has always been cooked just right. I've really only come for the steak. Another person in our party had lobster and steak with an additional side of lobster tail. He thoroughly enjoyed both as again they were cooked to perfection. I recommend this place if you would like a great tasting steak and a decent sized lobster tail. You just can't go wrong.

We took a break during the pandemic, but as soon as they reopened with restrictions, we were back for dinner and special occasions.

We have been going here with large parties and ordering many alcoholic beverages and tipping well over the pas... read more Made a reservation for 3 birthdays in one dinner. We have been going here with large parties and ordering many alcoholic beverages and tipping well over the past 6 years or more. This weekend we had a reservation for 11, told to wait. No big deal. Then 20 minutes creep by and now my 89 year old grandfather is arriving and cannot mobilize well. Still, over 35 minutes to get seated while other parties of 8 or 10 that arrived much later were sat prior to us. I’ve worked in a restaurant guys, you have to accommodate a party before you sit other parties. The door area was packed to the nines too, very unprofessional. Anyway, terrible experience, made everyone late for other events, and no one was very apologetic or offered any kind words or free anything. I am upset as the younger attendee with many seniors present that this occurred blatantly where all can see. This place has been going downhill for years,, don’t bother. We don’t be returning.
