We stopped for lunch as this cafe looked pleasant from the outside. We should have realised there were issues when we had to search for someone to speak to us, the inside looked like a bomb had hit it and then we had to ask for a menu. Having told he would bring us a wine menu we then had to search for the only person serving again 10 mins later, we were told there was no wine menu and to look in the fridge! Some time after the wine arrived. some food was delivered but no cutlery and we had to go searching for that yet again! The chips were cold, so we sent them back. They came a few minutes later slightly warmer but dry and almost certainly having been put in the microwave. To be honest I doubt there was someone who was genuinely a chef in the kitchen. My salmon tataki was completely tasteless no seasoning, no dressing and lots of cheap ingredients. The filet mignon which we expected to be beef turned out to be pork and also dry. We were told this was normal in Corsica but haven’t experienced it in other places and it wasn’t clear on the menu. My greatest horror though was on visiting the toilets and getting a glimpse of the kitchen. It was all a complete mess and filthy everywhere. They wouldn’t be allowed to open in the UK. They appear to be setting up a wine and products shop and would have been wise to close down whilst doing so. To add insult to injury, the owner decided he wanted to argue about the way everyone else thought his food was amazing and I didn’t know what I was talking about. Great customer service I don’t think! No apology for a truly terrible experience and no reduction in cost. I would avoid this place at all costs.

It was very nice, the staff was great and we loved everything. We had two glasses of champagne and amazing desserts

Very attractive, quaint restaurant with outdoor shaded tables but the real attraction was the huge pot of mussels one customer was consuming in earnest. We took the bait and WOW did we have some of the best moule marnieres we have ever had! Obviously fresh, tender and perfectly prepared so as to please the palate! The frites were tasty as well the flavorful bread that came with it--perfect for dunking! Oh and the carafe of vin blanc also helped . The perfect lunch and end to great day exploring Ajaccio.

We had a lovely stop at this cafe in Ajaccio, lunch was the biggest bowl of mussels known to man... Served with the best frites I’ve had for a long time and fresh bread, topped off with Corsican beer. Life doesn’t get much better PS they even tolerated my schoolboy French with good humour too, highly recommended

If you're in Ajaccio, this is the place to be!!! We stopped here for lunch because of the charming curb appeal and central location in downtown Ajaccio and were THRILLED with the food. Each dish was artfully presented and delicious, many featuring locally sourced Corsican ingredients and specialties. The service was extremely friendly and swift. We loved our lunch so much that we returned for breakfast the next morning and were not disappointed with the breakfast option with yogurt, granola, fruit, coffee, and a freshly squeezed juice. Friday night during Ajaccio's midnight shopping we came back for dinner and drinks. The cocktails were made by a sweet young bartender and very good. The dessert sampler was beautiful! Highly recommend!
