For some reason, every time we go to Aix-les-Bains, we eat here. Maybe because we've never had a reason to go elsewhere! Food is good, tasty and plentiful. Staff is nice and efficient and we've always had a warm welcome.I can't say why there are so many bad comments as my experience has always been very positive.During the summer it is very nice to seat outside, with a view of the port. What Freeman Vandervort doesn't like about Brasserie Lille:
We were warmly received and given a nice banquet seat by the window. The service was effecient and friendly and the menu was good and tasty. We had our caniche with us and they gave him a bowl of water, which was greatly appreciated. A good value for money brasserie. View all feedback.
Ok, not a special restaurant: it is one of the tourist restaurants near the cruise departure in a touristic city, but the food was good, and the service also: nice and efficient.so, why so many bad reviews so distant from my experience? maybe, but I don't know for sure, it was because as a policy we always try to be in the group of early customers and that day the city of Aix-les-Bains was not crowded at all.maybe the crisis comes at peak hours in summer days, but I'm not so sure other restaurants there are different.
We had lunch here or rather I didn't! We waited 30mins for water and wine then another 10 minutes for our food. Mine was tagliatelle with st Jacques on a really dirty plate with food stuck on the rim and dark green 'bits' stuck on elsewhere. I showed a waiter who said ugh then took it away. He brought it back having wiped off some of the green bits! I pointed out that it was still dirty and I needed a new dish. He said "it was nothing - you can eat out of that one"! I told him to take it away as it was now cold and not to bother. My husband had a tartiflette for 18 euros which was basically potatoes with cheap lardons and cream , his salad had several pieces of tomato stalks in it - it looked like someone had swept the counter top into his bowl! Kids menu was cold pasta with no sauce at all, and with two horrid hot dog sausages. We gave up waiting for their desert and said to one of the 8 waiters that 'served us' we were leaving - the bill arrived very quickly! Awful attitude, dreadful food, nice location. Avoid.

Had a lovely tasty burger. Location overlooking the port. Not written and in any other language but the waitress pleasant
Loved this placed and I am surprised by the poor reviews. Staff are friendly and attentive, pizza lovely and even the plat du jour looked good too. Would definately return. Busy restaurant for mid week lunch time.
