Follia - Aix-en-Provence

Had lunch here while visiting Aix for the day.The local square is littered with restaurants and it was difficult to choose one! This was definitely a more expensive option, but the quality matched the prices.We had foie gras for starters (huge portion, and very deliciously paired with marinated figs, onion compote and some toast. For mains my partner had a catalane-type stew with rabbit and chorizo sausage - very delicious. Lots of meat inside and very well prepared. I had a lamb shank which was enormous and again, very well-cooked - tender and tasty! There was a small mix-up with the dessert; firstly it took quite long, and then accidentally the order was mixed up with another table. The waiter quickly rectified the mistake.The total bill was 110 euro (3-course meal for two including aperitif, bottle of wine, digestif and coffee). As I said not cheap at all, but the quality matched the price.

Attention, les prix affichés sur la carte ne correspondent pas aux prix réels. Par exemple, un café gourmand affiché à 8,50€ s'est avéré être en réalité à 11,50€ une fois la commande passée. Pas d'excuses... Nous avons donc décidé d'annuler notre commande. Il y a d'autres restaurants sur la place des Cardeurs, qui ont sans doute plus de sens commercial, car l'erreur sur la carte n'a pas été corrigée. Si vous êtes prêt à payer votre moelleux au chocolat 11,50€ au lieu de 8,50€, n'hésitez pas à y aller... !

Restaurant assez correct. Il y a eu quelques malentendus entre les serveurs et un peu d'attente, mais nous avions le temps sur la place Cardeur et le soleil de Provence.

Situated in the heart of Aix, the restaurant is on the terrace. Plenty of choices on the menu, normal size portions, not too pricy, and the presentation is beautiful! The staff are friendly and the atmosphere is relaxed. One of our favourites here in Aix!

Ok, first of all this place did take us without a reservation on a busy Friday night so I cannot fault them. But they were under staffed for the amount of guests they had. The staff that were working were doing their best, really trying hard. Water was ice cold. Food came out slow but when it did it was tasty. The pasta was fresh however felt it was overlooked for my liking.Not certain if I would return again. So many other options around. I did take some great pics of the food which as I stated was tasty.
