Contribute FeedbackAix is a beautiful part of Provence with bustling streets and a big student population. This small city prides itself on its shopping and sightseeing. When you need to take a break, there are so many cafes, bars and restaurants you won't know where to stop. I advise you to check out this little gem of a cafe, you won't regret it! Friends recommended it to me after reading a double page article on Le Club Des Sandwich in the local paper "La Provence."All the ingredients are locally sourced fresh every day ready for Pierre to work his magic! The menu has plenty of choice with the regular picks of tasty burgers, delicious sandwiches and amazingly fresh salads. Regulars enjoy coming back time and time again to sample the daily specials. My friends spoke highly of the Tartiflette as well as the Chicken and Mushroom Risotto. I personally have experienced and highly recommend the Triple Pontage and Toaste au Poulet. You will not be disappointed to have stopped and relaxed for food and drink here whilst in Aix.
This tiny place sits on a small side street, but it's very easy to find. And, your trip to Le Club des Sandwiches will be well worth it. They simply serve the best sandwiches in town. The owner prides himself in using the very freshest and local ingredients. The different breads used are so fresh and delicious. The sandwich menu is limited to about ten items, but each sandwich is extraordinary! We tried the chicken and guacamole grilled sandwich served with cheese on round, sesame flatbread. So delicious. The pastrami and white cheese panini was equally as good. Even the Paris-inspired classic ham, butter and cheese on baguette was amazing. Give this place a try. You will not be disappointed. You can sit in the alley on tables and chairs, as it's a counter, self service restaurant. And, there's a toilet for customers, which is nice and clean.
Sweet little sandwich place on a side street near the center of Aix.
