We both had a meat main dish. The quality was definitely better than in some other touristy places where we ate. Also some nice cooked vegetables instead of the obligatory lettuce leaf with slice of tomato. Plus some nice garlicky roast potatoes. For desert I...had chhese. I was handed a tray of cheeses and could cut off what I wanted. Which I thought was good. Service was OK, madame's friendliness seemed a bit force... View all feedback.
What Jane Lai doesn't like about Chez Jo:
Très bonnes pizzas, plat de viande cher et vraiment pas extraordinaire. Le service est inégal selon le staff: avenant à froid. Rosé à 3€, malheureusement le seul au verre, est à éviter. View all feedback.
Lunch at the end of lunch service. we shared the steak tartars and the lasagne. both were quite large portions and were very tasty. the service was ok, but nothing from the usual for the opposite.
Good food and service. the bavette was excellent and service proaktiw. we thought it was a tourist rest, but honestly it was good eating in a beautiful terrace.
Sat late after a long day of travel and had a terrible experience. awful food, terrible service that doesn't seem unusual. I went to the uni in france and was never treated so badly in a restaurant.
Chez Jo is busy, buzzing and fun. Whenever we're in Aix we try and get a table the food is delicious, great value and the service friendly. Try the home made lasagne, and shrimp curry!

All in all not sure what other reviewers complain about, betthen we didn't have pizza or pasta. For a French bistro the food was definitely good.
