The Vale Hotel - AITKENVALE

I had an amazing time last night at Karaoke. The staff at The Vale were fantastic and showed me that you can have a great time without getting overly drunk (I wish I had known that when I was 18). Karaoke is held every Saturday and I highly recommend it to everyone. It feels like one big happy family. Thank you to The Vale for a memorable night!

We are grateful for the wonderful experience we had at The Vale for our daughter's 1st birthday on 20/11/16. The staff exceeded our expectations and made the day truly memorable. The food was amazing and the children enjoyed the activities provided at the kids club on the tables. Our waitress, a young girl whose name we are unsure of, was extremely kind and attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed. We look forward to visiting again in the future. Thank you for everything.

Usually a very good place to dine, not so on a recent night out. Decided to have the chef's special, honey lemon chicken with rice and broccoli. Sounds nice right, 4 pieces of chicken, small serving of rice and 2 stalks of broccolini. Sorry chef, but did you taste the dish at all. Tried my best to eat but couldn't, way to sweet. The chicken was swimming in the sauce. Partner ordered porterhouse steak,advertised as "melt in the mouth". He regularly eats this cut of meat,and once again, sorry definitely did not meet expectation.

Stood for half an hour in line to order food and waited nearly an hour for food after that. Not enough staff even though it was Mother's Day and they knew how many people to expect as we had to book. Line up for drinks at the bar too. Food was okay but salads were drowned in dressing.

Visited the Vale Hotel for a family meal. 14 adults and 2 kids. When the orders were placed they checked if all the table had ordered so the full orders could go in together. The kids meals came out first which was great as the kids usually are hungry, then three meals came out, which were the last three that were ordered. The rest of us waited and waited and waited...about 20 minutes later we asked where our meals were and they slowly started to arrive. My mother ordered the seniors roast with seasonal veggies...the broccoli and the carrots were raw. I had garlic prawns, rice and salad. The rice was a small tower of dry, plastic tasting rice and there was no garlic cream sauce to mix through it to try and give it taste. It didn't seem that busy so we don't know why we had to wait for our meals....will be thinking again before going back.
