Meson Del Willy - Águilas

Staying in Aguilas …..4 seniors on a 4 night golfing trip from UK , so local restaurants unknown to us. We referred to Tripadvisor for evening meals. Meson Willy was recommended , so we booked for 20:00hrs on a Wednesday evening. We were not disappointed, very enthusiastic owner/chef. Great choice of tapas to start followed by mains then puds !! An English menu was eventually found which made everything easier. Found nice reserva Rioja 2 bottles….not expensive. We left at 22:30 ish…..by which time the place was busy with late diners. MgS

We had a great experience, the food was delicious and the service was excellent! I would definitely get there again! Highly recommended!

Wow and wow. We went for a hike today outside Aguilas and thought we would drive through Aguilas to see if Lidl could possibly open by Nov 4. We passed Meson Willy and saw that it was still open. By the time we parked and got in, it was 4:05 on Nov 1st, a national holiday. We asked if we could eat and they said the kitchen closed at 4:00. We asked if we could have a drink and tapa and they said a drink and ración. We ordered a white wine and they brought us a bottle of Naxus Verdejo. Then they brought us two fresh and still hot absolutely delicious empanadas with a cream sauce on the side.. This was not a standard tapa but like their creative and delicious tapa menu we have had before. We savored each bite and expected no more. Then they brought us a plate of paella and we turned a glass of wine into a bottle and a moment into an incredible memory. When we asked for the bill, they only charged us for the wine. We said what about the food and they motioned with their hand that there was no charge. We have only been in Spain for two weeks and we are already looking forward to going back to Meson Willy this week for their full Tapa menu. The food and the service are the real deal.

I can't think of this place. I'm going to some friends often and you'll get me to go to the will. You have the wrong street number, the willy must be 22 no 20. I put a four on him because I heard he eats well, not from experience.

Very interesting place to eat, squids on the dish are worthwhile and also be advised by the owner. order small dishes and you can try more things.
