We had not had the occasion to eat chez Larcen since he returned after a six year absence from his already excellent restaurant. What Luc Boutin doesn't like about Larcen La Suite:
The atmosphere of the restaurant is OK and the service perfect. The food is average. but we are off season and they do not have a lot of customers, in Agde, very often this is the case and they use frozen food that they defrost too fast. We had a Dorade royale which was stuffed and a lamb shank prepared in a Moroccan mechoui way. So so.. View all feedback.
This restaurant is about a 10 to 15 minute walk from the river but it is well worth it . We had a fantastic meal at this place on an overnight stop on the Canal du Midi. There was plenty of choice on the menu and all the courses were excellent. The staff were friendly and helpful. Fantastic food and wine at a reasonable price.

Not having had the best of luck eating out in Agde on this and past visits, Larcen (the chef has returned after six years in Paris and I think Asia) provides not just truly wonderful food, excellent service but our very rare and favorite Ch Puech Rose Prestige... My starter of tomato soup (served like a gazpacho) with fresh king prawns, was refreshing and amazing at the same time... my wife had the gazpacho which had the wow factor as well as taste. Our mains were equally as good, all in all weve found the only place to e in Agde, cant wait to go back.
We had a dinner there for the second time as we visited this place with some friends last year. Everything is very good, the service is correct as well as the prices. Nevertheless as my wife became allergic to garlic she had difficulties eating at this place. She had to choose between two or three dishes that 's it. No effort from the kitchen, as we usually get almost everywhere worldwide. Even the first amuse bouche that they put on the table (Houmous) was full of garlic, my wife had to watch me eating. I could not believe it. Usually she is always offered an alternative option. No interest what so ever to her allergy. We will not go back even if what we had was good. Frustrating and rude attitude from the kitchen. The following evening we went to the Bistro d 'Herve which is 20 meters from there where we enjoyed the full top notch menu.
Excellent restaurant in Agde! Very savoury, exquisite tastes, well researched and beautifully presented, charming servers,class decor and terrasse. What more can I say-a must!
