Here is a restaurant as I love them.In a seaside resort, not the least, where it is allowed to fear to fall into an open month tourist trap to make money, here is a restaurant open to the year, which makes the trade, in all simplicity, at more than reasonable prices. In a current setting, without pretention any, comfortable, clean (it is essential to me); you are received with warmth and simplicity all Mediterranean,... What User doesn't like about La Mediterrannee:
a good welcome, servers that had the desire to comfortably install us with our children. a little waiting on the food service. the entrance was correct, but the dish (of fish) leaves to be desired: a lot of oil. This is not an address where we will return. View all feedback.
Had a very good meal here, and enjoyed the friendly, helpful service. This is in a very pretty location in the Vieux Port in Cap d'Agde. It offers a good range of dishes at great prices. We went for the three-course set menu for around 16€, and were very impressed with the quality. I went for the coquillages starter, which was terrific: mussels, oysters, prawns, crayfish and whelks. You would pay about £12 in the UK for a starter like that. I had the seared tuna main course, which was delicious. I had sorbet for dessert, which was also very good.
The food was disgusting, the service poor to say the least and the waiter rude and argumentative. I wondered if we were treated so badly because obviously passing trade. What’s more the waiter told us the Owner doesn’t care doesn’t use the Internet and read reviews better go next door or without.
We wanted to order a 3 course menu and the manager refuses to take our order, we could only eat a la carte. We asked and for some more decision time and the manger starts to look agitated. As i decide on the Thon , I ask what the Thon Duo on the blackbords is. The manager says I alraedy made a wish choise and should leave it like that. The manager is all the time crumpy, shouts at everything and everyone, even the customers, and clearly express he doesnot want to be there at that moment.. Great service! The desserts and softdrinks are heavily overpriced.
I took my family here whilst waiting for the Aquarium to open. The food was below average but the service was awful. The staff member that we had was on the cusp of being downright rude. He was very grumpy and unfriendly and made our whole experience unpleasant. Too many issues to list but in general this chap is not suitable for a customer service role. I don't like people clearing plates and reaching over me whilst I am still eating! I also don't like having my dessert placed on the table whilst I am still eating my main. Again, bringing the bill to the table whilst I was still eating my dessert was not great either! I thought it might be the fact we don't speak French (even though we try our best! , but I saw he was being exactly the same with other customers as well. Anyway, avoid this place at all costs!
Off season, early February. Lunch with friends. The paella was impeccable, copyy and delicious. full meal, aperitif, dish, dessert, coffee: all for a correct price. the view on the frontport is a plus, for tourists passing.
