The Shebang - Afton

The Shebang Shrimp is so very good I can 't bring myself to order anything else. My husband orders other items and enjoys them also. No complaints. Very happy with the menu. The service has been spot on even on very busy nights. The staff does a wonderful job and knows what customer service is without over doing it. I truly appreciate that. Was not at all what they advertised. Our waitress had to cover bar plus food orders. She did her best, stayed pleasant even though food was 40 min b4 it came to our table. The website gives a false impression! Five of us went to the restaurant on a Tuesday afternoon at 5:00 P.M. The service was extremely slow. It took an hour to get the appetizers, and we were the only diners there (there were some people at the bar). The slow service was unbearable, and it took about 2 hours to leave. One of my friends ordered a medium rare steak, but it arrived with no pink in it, despite being a $50 steak. We never spoke to a manager about our meal or experience. The rest of the food was decent. The bathroom was filled with bugs on the sink and floor, with holes in the wall and dirt on the door and trim. It felt like a truck stop bathroom, especially with a hanging light from the ceiling. Fishing in Grove may be great, but the food service at this restaurant (whether it's Sonic or Shebang) is not up to par.
