Great first impression we loved here. Fish Tacos, lobster roll, Clam Chowder... Yum. Good selection of beers and Seltzern on Hahn. Friendly service. Cat was a big server and Jack the bartender was very sweet. Will return when we land in the area. Thank you. View all feedback.
What an oasis in a sea of blah, so restaurants today.... the owners were hands on, super friendly and so hospitable. We felt at home in the minute when we were Jack, one of the owners, was bartending and was quite entertaining on his own thinking Sam at Cheers, but more fun. And the chief/owner Pat came out and we could visit, he recommended the black Haddock-Tacos with Chipotle Aioli and pickled red onions I am so glad that I listened to him! (Just listen to the cooking recommendations!) We started with the sniper. We had to rehearse the fish-chowder as in Gloucester....so I had the Tacos amd my partner had the Clam Roll with Fritten, Coleslaw and a pimple everything exactly as you hope it will be every time. When we talk to the tribals, it sounds like things are always wonderful, I wish only. lived closer (we are in Vt, but we will definitely be back, it is worth the journey! BTW goes to Giants!
Great food! We saw the sniper coming out and it looked so delicious that we had to try... we were not disappointed! Much fried food, BUT it was all easy and delicious!! The fried shells were somewhat slimmer than my son preferred, but his shrimps, scallops and the fish and chips of my husband were so perfectly fried that we loved everything! The Chowder was a great representation for New England and my daughter had a 'side' salad that will probably be two more meals for me. Can't say enough how good that was!
My friends took me here for my birthday, and it was one of the most memorable dinners ever. The owner came by our table and made us all feel very welcome. He threw in a complementary dessert, and the waitresses threw in one of the funniest cake designs I've ever seen.
My wife and I dined here on a Thursday evening in mid May. We were pleased to be seated immediately, even if it was right next to a table to teenaged boys who appeared to be children of regulars who were watching hockey at the bar. The kids weren't an issue as they were pretty much glued to their phones. Our waitress seemed to be going for speed records at the expense of hospitality and accuracy; for example; she slammed two glasses of ice water in front of us and took off without asking what we'd like to drink. (My wife always asks for water without ice as her teeth are sensitive, so I spent a couple of minutes digging ice cubes out of her glass with a fork. This was pretty much the routine for the meal a water glass refilled with such gusto that I had to mop up the water that had spilled on the table. The seafood was very good; my salmon was among the best seafood dishes I had all week in the area. The vibe was pretty much sports bar; given that, I was very pleasantly surprised by the quality and preparation of the food.
