The stunning view of the rugged coastline of the Bay of Fundy is absolutely amazing. You definitely have to see the lighthouse with its fog horn. Just be prepared with sturdy walking shoes if you want to go down to view the lighthouse, as it's not accessible for those with mobility issues. The view is truly spectacular! View all feedback.
What Charles Duval doesn't like about The Lighthouse on Cape d'Or:
I read so much good reviews on this restaurant, I was looking forward to having a great dining experience there but that was not the case. The service was excellent, the food presentation was good but the main dish , flounder, was tasteless. I was totally disappointed. The salad was good and the dessert, the famous rhubarb pie/crisp was good though it came in a small heap as though it was the very last bit they had.... View all feedback.
What a place to visit, the views are mind blowing. There is a cool lighthouse and there is a sweet little restaurant that has the most chill vibe ever I could live there. Love it all. highly recommend a visit.
The food at this restaurant is absolutely incredible. It is arguably the best food we have ever had, enjoyed by both adults and children. The service is super friendly. We started with a delicious Caesar salad with mushrooms, followed by amazing salmon for the fish lovers. Non-seafood options included a pasta full of vegetables. The salmon dish also had a variety of tasty vegetables. The service is incredibly friendly and unique, so be prepared for something different. If you're looking for a great meal, this is a good choice. If you want a truly unique experience, this is definitely the place to go. Located at a lighthouse on a cliff, payment is by cash and arrangements are made via text messages, making the experience even more unique. We all loved it. While it may not be cheap, it is definitely worth it for the unique experience. Plus, the beer is pretty good too.

We were here as a couple 2 years ago without reservations and the gracious host managed to fit us in and serve an amazingly good dinner, accompanied by a stunning sunset. This time we were better prepared, had messaged in advance and arranged to have lobster for dinner (not usually on the menu so must pre-arrange) and were a party of 6. We decided to go early and enjoy the walk down slowly ( 3 with limited mobility) and we were happy we did. the terrain is rough, but with appropriate shoes and going nice and slow it was a lovely walk, nice scenery and lots of wildflowers along the way. The setting is very nice, service was good and the meal was outstanding! Lobsters were huge, and served already cracked and ready to eat. The rhubarb crumble was yummy too. We enjoyed watching the sunset with everyone, and after coffee and a few drinks, we were driven up the hill by the host, back to our car. We will be back every time we are near Cape D'Or-the combined experience of excellent food, great views and gracious service make this an outstanding experience every time!
This is the place with a beautiful view and an attitude to go with it. As a policy, they don't answer the phone. You have to drive to Cape D'or and see if they're open. Chances are, during tourist season, they are.For dinner, It's a fixed menu, 3 courses, with an option or two. Nicely prepared, no fried fish! Nice presentation. As I said, plenty of attitude, nice, friendly wait staff, but not too knowledgeable. They didn't know what the house wine was, and after a conversion about coffee with dessert, they never brought the coffee -- hence the 4 stars.Wild Caraway is definitely an upgrade, but I'd take the Lighthouse over Black Rock any day. Well worth the crazy drive to get there.
