Wimfield's On Main - Feedback

Was Nancy Smith at Wimfield's On Main a mag?
I'm not sure about the other reviews, but my friend and I tried the Reuben and the hot beef, and both were fantastic. The waitress was very attentive. I plan to bring my family next time. It’s definitely worth taking a detour from the highway! View all feedback.

We settled down at our table, and the waitress came by to ask how we were doing. We mentioned that there was virtually no food at the buffet. She said she would check on it. Looking around, we noticed that other diners were also sitting there with empty plates; they seemed just as astonished as we were that there was no food during lunchtime at a restaurant. Eventually, the waitress returned to inform us that more bread and food were on the way. They finally brought out about ten to twelve pieces of chicken and a small portion of potatoes, but by the time I reached the front of the line, everything was gone. I was the fifth person in line and we waited for what felt like ages with still no food arriving. Frustrated, my parents decided to leave. I ended up paying for my salad and left as well. This place is simply not worth the time or effort. Who wouldn’t want to have lunch? They should either sell or close the restaurant. I even called to see if the owner or manager was available to discuss our experience, but Brenda said no. What a terrible establishment.
Despite not seeing any prior warnings in the reviews, my friend and I tried the Reuben and the hot bark, and both were fantastic. The waitress was wonderful as well. I'm excited to bring my family next time—it's definitely worth the trip from the highway!

When we returned to our table, the waitress came by to check on us and we mentioned there was absolutely no food available at the buffet. She said she would look into it. As we scanned the room, we noticed other diners were also sitting there with empty plates, looking just as bewildered as we were that a restaurant could have no food at lunchtime. Eventually, the waitress returned to inform us that more chicken and food were on the way. After a long wait, they finally brought out about ten to twelve pieces of chicken and a small serving of potatoes. By the time I got to the front of the line, the chicken was already gone, and I was only fifth in line. We continued to wait, but still no food came out. Frustrated customers were becoming increasingly upset, and my parents ended up leaving in disappointment. I paid for my salad and followed suit. Overall, this experience was incredibly disappointing, and I feel this restaurant does not deserve your time or effort. It’s hard to understand how they could be out of food during lunch hour. I believe this place should either sell the business or close down. I tried to call to see if the owner or manager were available to discuss my experience, but Brenda informed me that they were not. What a terrible experience!
