Set in a beautifully restored historic building with exposed brick and old‑world charm, this neighborhood restaurant earns praise for creative, flavorful dishes—bacon‑wrapped sprouts, plank salmon, Reuben egg rolls and Hoo Do specialties—and occasional live music. Service and consistency are hit-or-miss: frequent short‑staffing, slow seating and intermittent quality concerns (cold or pasty buffet items, one report of spoiled‑tasting meat) temper otherwise passionate kitchen work. Friendly servers and a private event room add appeal, but prospective diners should expect variable experiences.

Had a great experience. Phenomenal food. Our waiter said they were very short employees. But if we need something, it just flies down. The food was the best, the service was great, although they were short staff, you didn't know. We'll be back.

I've only visited about six times and each time I have had less than acceptable service. Nobody ever greets you, and you never know how long you'll wait for someone to approach the hostess stand for a table. I waited for over 5 minutes for someone to greet me before I left and spent my money at another downtown restaurant.The food HAS always been delicious. I guess that's why I keep giving it a try. The menu is on the $pricey$ end. I like that they have live music on the weekend. The interior is nicely decorated. There is a front entrance with street side parking and also a rear entrance with parking lot.
I can't say anything positive about this place. When we walked in, there was a sign that said to wait to be seated. We stood there for about half an hour, and not a single person asked for our name or how many were in our party. Meanwhile, other customers came in and were seated almost immediately. The service was terrible, and I'm really unsure about the food or the staff.
