Senor Chicken - Adelphi
Senor Chicken
Description
Señor Chicken delivers a polarizing mix: when firing its rotisserie over charcoal the chicken can be juicy, flavorful and paired with crisp fries, yuca and authentic empanadas; yet diners report frequent inconsistency—dry, cold or overcooked chicken, soupy rice and missing sauces—and spotty service and restroom upkeep. Popular for takeout, delivery and mixed-grill offerings, the spot appeals to casual Peruvian-food lovers seeking value, but variable kitchen and front‑of‑house performance makes experiences unpredictable.

Food is always good and the guys working there are very friendly. As of February 2019 they have started taking credit debit cards!
DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!I used to eat here a lot growing up, they had really great food. I hadn't eaten here in about 10 years. I had totally forgotten about it until it came up on my UberEats, so I decided to order some food. Sad to say that I was very disappointed. The quality is not what it used to be.I got a whole chicken, a side of yuca, and a side of rice beans. Everything was awful. The chicken tasted as if it was steamed or boiled rather than roasted, lacking any flavor typical of Peruvian chicken. The yuca was dry, tough, and hard, also no flavor. The rice and beans were soupy, consisting of almost no rice and a handful of beans, all swimming in bean sauce. Also no sauces included with the meal as is expected from any Peruvian chicken place. A truly disgusting experience.
Horrible dry chicken, sauce was watered down, the cooks were friendly, while the greeter was setting an appointment for himself on his cell phone instead of paying attention to what i wanted to eat, had to tell him like 3x what i wanted, will not be visiting that place any time soon.
