What Alfonzo Schimmel doesn't like about The Taxpayer:
Had a quick work lunch here and enjoyed the Wesley Snipes - seriously good burger combo with fries and craft beer! We preordered so the service was quick but the guy serving us seemed to have a bit of an attitude. Could be mistaking attitude with efficiency but didn't feel overly welcome. Amazing burgers though! The taxpayer is closed. at this place there is now another restaurant. we were very disappointed to go a long way to this highly rated Burger community to find that it does not exist!
Sweet potato chips were good. my burger was good, but I forget what I got meat was juicy and tender and I love a Brioche beer. everyone enjoyed their meal. the personal was really nice and was a good atmosphere. they took our order via the phone so that our meals are served when we arrived, very appreciated by a ravenous baptism.
Decent burger. Not the best I’ve had, but a solid effort and reasonable value for the price. I got the Al Capone and it was tasty enough. Fries were good. It’s a nice enough venue. Service walked past me a few times without stopping to take my order, maybe because I was eating alone? I dunno Anyway. It’s not a place I’d rave about, but it’s not bad.
I was slightly disappointed with the meals we ordered Wesley Snipes and Al Capone with sweet potato fries and onion rings. The Wesley Snipes burger was pretty standard and was loaded with salty smokiness which made it difficult to taste the individual ingredients. The balsamic onions in the Al Capone burger were too sweet. The onion rings were disappointing in that all I was getting was heavy batter correction crumbed) and barely existent onion. The main highlight were the sweet potato fries with (runny) aioli they had a nice balance of crunch and softness. The only reason I would return is to get the sweet potato fries to take away.
