The Loft has always been one of my favourite place to visit in Adelaide. It is an upstairs bar with stylish decor, friendly staff and brilliant drinks. They are now offering a full food menu with delectable delights to enjoy with friends. The food for a vegetarian like me is even great. I enjoyed a lovely vegetarian San Choy Bow (one of my all time favourite dishes) and the vegetarian fried rice was just as delicious... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about The Loft Oyster and Wine Bar:
Had high expectations for the newly branded Mrs q Asian kitchen and barThe setting is fabulous and staff friendly We found the food average on this particular night and unfortunately we had an issue with the oysters, which i must say the management instantly acknowledged and offered us a replacement meal and complementary drinkMaybe just teething problems but not sure if I will try again View all feedback.
Copped an $8.50 bottle of Evian still water on the tab which was a real sting after a pretty average meal.

The staff are always lovely here and aim to give you a great night. The new decor is fresh and inviting and having the huge balcony to smoke on is great for us smokers while we watch the city bustle by. If your visiting, give it a go and if you live in Adelaide and have been to the Loft before, go back in a give the new look place a red hot go.
Great looking venue.. walked up to bar gent already waiting ..did we want something?Yes a drink? gent offered me to go first 5 drinks later I went back to table someone would come and take order.. half hour later I went back to bar, Girl held finger up to me four milling around and behind bar.. was finger ..wait ? who knows Not going to get a drink here. Food ha, decided online what to order oysters with chilli and coriander,Didn't get to order anything one of our other party asked how do we order? Do you do table service or do we order at the bar, which ever was the reply either ....I didn't order after seeing and smelling what came out 2cm if that oysters. Not good, Service would be great smile welcome people and local wine I wont be going back Sorry Disappointed I was the only one to think the drink prices were normal ha ..One of our friends ordered me a martini dirty dry Martini shaken ..i enjoyed the one olive and would have liked it as I ordered.. too much to ask clearly Big thumbs down from me.
We expected to eat dinner here and were a party of six. However it was all of a bit of a muddle. We wanted oysters for a starter but were told they weren't in season and it was best to order them cooked but I prefer them au naturel. So the title of the place is misleading. It should be The Loft when in season oyster and wine bar. We presumed from the prices that if we ordered a dishes each they would be sharing platters but the duck was 4 thinly sliced bits that didn't reflect the price. The prawn skewers consisted of about 6 prawns only and was also pricey. Some people ordered seafood pasta and that was the only reasonably sized but nothing special meal sized dish which does not lend itself to a sharing platter style. The serve of fries was a good size and thank god I ordered some otherwise I would have starved! Cocktails were great so I would say eat somewhere else and just come here for a drink ( which when we looked around it seemed like that was what everyone else was doing). Service was average and not all the dishes arrived together. The balcony setting was atmospheric and inside was dark but quite quirky.
Have only been here for drinks (during the week and Fri/Sat nights) and whilst this place comes across as 'fancy' and 'amazing' it didn't live to our expectations. Their drinks menu is great, reasonable prices. Haven't tried any food so cant comment on that.Recently we dropped in on NYE..... it was almost empty (about 10 people). Upon asking the staff about when they close (hoping to pop in again later), they said they'll probably shut as it's 'dead'... which is a shame.Lots of potential, but it doesn't seem to be getting it.
