What a lovely little place! It is a small place indeed (maybe just a bit smaller than I expected), but it has all u need! Gin tasting plates with worldwide Gin, 'fever tree' tonic water and an array of gin condiments to match our gin! Yummy grazing board, with a jalapeno dip that was awesome! The cocktails were of exceptional quality and their prices are reasonable. Happy hour was an unexpected delight for us and the cocktails we would have ordered were at half price.
The biggest issue we had was with the outdoor seating. On each table were vanilla scented candles over coffee beans, why you might ask? Well because there seems to be a sewage leak near by and every time someone flushes the toilet in the v... View all feedback.
Had such a great night and everyone there was having a really good time. Cannot rate you highly enough to do it justice! You and your staff helped to make the night very special. Will be sure to be back soon for some coffee and/or gin!
Great venue with an amazing crew. Looked after our large group even when it was getting crazy busy on a Saturday night. Great cocktails and the perfect start to our night. Highly recommend and will definitely head back again. Thanks guys.
My now Husband and I held our wedding reception in the upstairs mezzanine area on 19th January this year (2018). The reception was completely perfect and exactly what we had hoped for relaxed and intimate, yet still very much with the feel of a party that had a bit of 'luxury ' about it! My husband and I (and our families who helped pull our day together) so appreciated how flexible and supportive Rachel and Mick of The Howling Owl were in planning every detail with us (DJ, food, drinks, decorations), in allowing us to drop off decorations and cake, and in setting up the room on the day! The food was beautiful (I made a real effort to actually get at some and very much enjoyed it), and the communication around the tab with the staff was fantastic and simple. The Howling Owl staff on the night were extremely friendly and helpful, congratulating my Husband and I (and our parents) throughout the night, and checking in with our allocated people to make sure everything was running smoothly. ALL of our guests commented on how lovely the room was too! We can 't thank The Owl enough for gifting us with such a beautifully memorable and unique reception.
I organised to hire the upstairs venue space of the Howling Owl for a launch night on behalf of an NGO that I work with and Rachel, Mick and the rest of the staff were amazing to work with. They were so supportive and the upstairs space was beautiful and sophisticated to host in, I can't recommend it highly enough!
Recently had my birthday party there and I cannot speak highly enough of the staff and Venue. Everyone commented on how good the place was. The staff were super friendly and went above and beyond to make sure all the guests were looked after. I would absolutely recommend anyone thinking of having a function to go to the Howling Owl, you won't be disappointed.
